Alice in Chains EP Jar of Flies....?

was the first EP to top the charts.

MQ: What is your favorite song off of Jar of Flies?

MQ2: What is your favorite EP? If you don't know what an EP is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_pl鈥?/a>Alice in Chains EP Jar of Flies....?
I did not know that.

MQ: "Swing On This".

MQ2: Toss up between AIC's "Sap" and Isis' "Mosquito Control".
I Stay Away

noneAlice in Chains EP Jar of Flies....?
MQ: Probably either Nutshell or Swing on This

MQ2: The very EP your question is about.
That's nice dear.

MA: I haven't heard it to be honest. I only have Dirt.

MA2: Tool - OpiateAlice in Chains EP Jar of Flies....?
Ponce! where did you get that picture of me?

MQ. Nutshell

MQ2. Irony is a dead scene, it's a dillinger escape plan ep with mike patton on vocals.
MA: Nutshell, I guess. I just listen to the whole EP. It's a masterpiece.

MA2: Haunting the Chapel - Slayer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCXjinjJv鈥?/a>
MQ: "Whale And Wasp"...the guitar dude...the guitar...simple sweet bends, then that soaring lead, that suits the song perfectly !! IMO that whole album is great from start to finish."SAP"(EP) is right there too.... "Brother" with the help of the Wilson sisters of course !!

MQ2 : Iron Maiden "Maiden Japan"
Damn to pick one song off of that EP is like pulling my teeth:( That was all I would listen to back in the 90's God I miss them but if I had to pick It would be Whale %26amp; wasp - Don't Follow %26amp; Nuttshell in that order but one without the other would ruin an amazing ep! It's so damn rare to get a complete ep right all the way through but damn they had it in SPADES :)

My favorite ever ep or cd or album is Yngwie Malmsteens Rising Force. Talk about pouring it out on a guitar:) I hate ppl that say he plays with no emotion! This was 1984 ppl!!!! He was everything and there would be no neo-classical music if not for him! A close 2nd would be Guns %26amp; Roses Appettite For Destruction! damn sweet songs all of them!
Whole EP was great!
MQ: Don't Follow

Sadly, as great of a book as this is, it recently sold on Ebay for around $60. Wish I could give you better news. Hope this helps. Good Luck!Alice in wonderland???????????expert?
to the person above me... While it may be worth 60 dollars the fact that it sold for that much it doesnt mean that is what it is worth.

Do research and more than just asking random people. That person on Ebay could easily turn around and sell it for 6,000. Who knows. The worth of an item is how much someone is willing to pay for it.

I sold a book for 2 dollars once and come to find out it is worth over 200. ooops. Do research before you go and sell it.Alice in wonderland???????????expert?

Who else misses Layne Staley from Alice in Chains after five years?

Wasn't it weird that both he and Kurt Cobain died on April 5th, albeit in different years? Who else wishes strongly he were still around to produce great rock music? A talented musician, how sad was his demise! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Layne_Stale鈥?/a>Who else misses Layne Staley from Alice in Chains after five years?
I 100% agree. Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley were as good or better than John Lennon and Paul McCartney at writing great music. Of course, we're talking about different genres here so they can never really be classified in the same field. Layne was and is a God and left a strong legacy for our younger generations to carry on his passions and talents. Unfortunately, he made some stupid choices and got himself to a point of no return in his drug addiction. He not only showed us great music, but also a lot about the things heroin can do to you.Who else misses Layne Staley from Alice in Chains after five years?
Layne Staley was the coolest rock star ever. His songs are so deep and awesome to listen to.

  • How can I resolve this modem/wireless router issue?

I want to set up my old router (http://www.alice-wiki.de/Alice_Modem_112鈥?/a> at my girlfriends place because we use the same provider and the company had sent her a crappy cheap modem/router with only 1 port. At first there was no indication that the Internet was connected but after using the setup program and entering her account details I was able to connect with to the router and to the Internet wirelessly using my EEEPc netbook. Immediately afterword, I tried connect her MacBook Pro(10.X) wirelessly using the network key. The key was accepted but no Internet access was granted so the computer connects to the router wirelessly but to the Internet.

The router must be working though because when she connects via PPOE everything works fine which indicates that the Internet is accessible through the router but the router is failing to make the Internet accessible via wireless. I AM able to connect to the router via wireless.

What am I doing wrong? When I look at the router login page, it says connected to the Internet.

???How can I resolve this modem/wireless router issue?
Dude! It's a DNS server thing: Change your settings

Why avoid using the word THAN? ("Alice is better than Bob." etc.)?

Of course, between US/UK English one cannot argue which is proper. e.g. "recognize/recognise" etc. However on the Internet, you'd find many articles/guides written by highly educated native English speakers/writers ("native" as opposed to "native proficient") who continue to use THEN instead of THAN: e.g. "T9A is better THEN Y3B." Is this some type of a standardized Internet English writing style?

It's quite common for non-native English speakers to make errors such as "Have you ever saw the movie~." (seen) or "Its not my fault, your just careless." (It's, you're) or when using "Not only" in a sentence but "better THEN~?" They must be avoiding the use of "than" but why? *Yes I've read; http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Than

Again, my question is not "How do I use THAN/THEN?" however WHY do many authors (not for the sake of his/her writing style or sounding original) avoid the use of THAN.

Thanks. Why avoid using the word THAN? ("Alice is better than Bob." etc.)?
    Feel better now?

    Oh, I agree with you.

-MMWhy avoid using the word THAN? ("Alice is better than Bob." etc.)?
Polished authors and poets do use "than" when they write similes. Otherwise "than" is a ten-cent word when writers should be choosing twenty-five cents words.

By the way, your question reminds me of, "Like I said..." instead of, "As I said."Why avoid using the word THAN? ("Alice is better than Bob." etc.)?
I hope you realize that then is incorrect in the context you used it. Than is correct.

"Than" for a comparison between two things.

"Then" indicates a sequence of time.
How do you know those Internet pieces are "written by highly educated native English speakers/writers"? If they made a mistake like that, I would doubt it.

Typos can happen, of course, but this is more systematic misspelling than just an occasional typo.

when i read gakuen alice in wikipedia in ruka's section %26gt;relationships %26gt; mikan... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruka_Nogi it says that they had a kissing scene (then natsume threw an apple to mikan's head then it says it was a blackboard eraser in the manga) but i don't remember reading that at all in mangafox.. i saw it in the anime but not in the manga... can anyone please tell which chapter that is!!Which gakuen alice chapter is this?
The chapter you are looking for has not been scantalized yet. Chapters between 19-29 is when Ruka and Mikan almost "kiss" but Natsume inturups them with a blackboard eraser. The chapters 19 to 29 are in japanese if you want them in manga version they have not been yet been subtitled in english. I was sooo looking forward to that part when I was reading Gakuen Alice too. I just LOVE Gakuen Alice and I know what you mean. Meanwhile you can still enjoy the rest of the Gakuen Alice manga at http://mangafox.com I'm sorry for my spelling.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Gives鈥?/a>What Do You Think Of Alice In Chains New Album Black Gives Way To Blue?
    Hi Ryan

It's good , it's surprisingly good actually . DuVall's no Layne , he doesn't try to be Layne which is cool and he's a good singer. Well just the whole album is fantastic , my favorite song is All Secrets Known
I thought it was alright, really reminded of some of jerrys solo stuff. its definalty missing laynes input. id i enjoyed the slower songs like your decision more so than the more metally ones i just felt like ive heard it before.

i would have liked it if they changed their name, its just cant live up to the older stuff. What Do You Think Of Alice In Chains New Album Black Gives Way To Blue?
To be honest at first I hated it. I listened to some of it and forgot about it for a couple of weeks. Then I was going through some songs on windows media player and heard Private Hell and listened to it and loved it. Then I went back and actually "listened" to the whole cd and now I must say that absolutley love this album. I have been an Alice in Chains fan every since I was a kid and I do miss Layne's voice more than anyone, but I love this album and the way William works into it. He has a good voice (not Laynes) but very good.
It's cool. The stuff with layne is way better imo. But I'm happy they released a new album. All in all, it good. What Do You Think Of Alice In Chains New Album Black Gives Way To Blue?
i agree with the first person that it sounds like jerrys solo album. also its just missing an edge without layne, its ok.

    Does alice cullen die?

i found this question with answers by different people saying she doesnt die but one of them has a paragraph answer and it sound real. can you take a look?????

    http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Will_alice_cullen_dieDoes alice cullen die?
No, that never happens! In all four books (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, I've read them all) Alice Cullen does not die.

Whoever wrote that up was either terribly misinformed, or is a pathological liar with a creative streak.
Aw, I love Alice Cullen! According to Stephenie Meyer's last book, which you should totally read, called Breaking Dawn, (spoiler alert) she does not die! Maybe someone was trying to make up their version of what happens, which is totally more depressing!Does alice cullen die?
that was a myth purely started buy magazines, since they had no story, they made a story. Alice dosent die, not every thing will go according to the books but I am 100% sure that alice dosent die :)

    No, she does not.

Are there any books which are darker, macabre versions of Alice in Wonderland?

I would very much like to write a story based on Alice in Wonderland. It would take place in the future, in which Alice (16/17YO) is seen to be mentally disturbed. This would be somewhat similar to the plot of the video game, American McGee鈥檚 Alice (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Mc鈥?/a> ). I would intend to have this story published, but I鈥檓 not sure if this idea has already been done. Anyone here ever play "American McGee's Alice"?

I need a review. I remember seeing it when it first came out in 2000 and I was curious about it, but I never went to look at it. But I'm curious: how is the game? FYI, it's a PC game. Do people play those anymore? If you guys still aren't sure what I'm talking about, here's a link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Mc鈥?/a>Anyone here ever play "American McGee's Alice"?
It is one of the more impressive games I have ever played. The graphics it had at the time of it's release were top notch. The game is based on the book "Alice in Wonderland" of course, but places a dark spin on the tale, and is rated M for mature. It isn't really gory so much, as it is kind of creepy. (Some areas in the game are enlightening and uplifting, but a fair bit of the game is a bit creepy) You play the role of a polite, mannerly and spunky little girl named Alice, who isn't afraid of anything. As you travel along throughout Wonderland you will noticed flesh-like moving tentacles here and there. (They, by the way, are suppose to represent the influence of the evil Red Queen. Like the tentacles of an octopus her evil influence reaches into all areas of Wonderland) There isn't any foul language or sexual themes in the game. The violence in the game is always at things that represent something evil...namely those who are allied with the evil Red Queen. The game was a PC game yes, and would probably not play on an XP or Visa OS. According to the system requirements you would need Windows 95, 98 or ME to play it. I just got through playing it again for the third time recently. Just wanted to reminisce about it. The surrealism in the game is not like any other game I have ever ran into, and it still stands out for that reason, but the game doesn't quite have the shine and spark it once had. Look how good graphics have been getting since the last generation systems have came out, though! If you are half-way interested in the game (and can find it...and a system that will play it), you should still play the game. You can run down the reviews of almost any noteworthy game at Metacritic.com you know. Find the game you want information about, and there are links to almost every review even written about that game. Most of the critics were favorable toward Alice but there were complaints about the game being too linear (a lot of games are linear as far as that goes) and also complaints about the jumping puzzels in the game. There is a fair bit of jumping in the game, but it didn't really bother me. It is easy enough to just make her jump by hitting the space bar. (If you are more of a veteran gamer the jumping stuff does get old with you in games). It would be hard for me to really tell you everything about the game, besides, that would ruin a lot of the fun you would have playing it yourself. Just go to metacritic.com and read some more info on it. Might still find some youtube videos of it too if you check.
No, it is sick and demented and probably fun.Anyone here ever play "American McGee's Alice"?
I played it when it first came out. It was wonderful, but my computer wasn't fast enough for me to enjoy it like it was meant to be enjoyed.
I've played it on a Mac and a PC. It is a good game, really indepth.Anyone here ever play "American McGee's Alice"?
ooo, i remember that - great game!
American McGee's Alice is one of my favorite games of all time! It is a very dark take on the Alice in Wonderland story. The colors in the game are so beautiful and you really do feel like Alice in Wonderland. I remember there being some very hard parts to the game that took me forever to get past, but it was so entertaining that I've probably beat the game 3 times now. Graphics are so beautiful....worth every penny! You can see some videos of gameplay here and decide for yourself: http://www.videocarnage.com/index.php?se鈥?/a>

Like the box on the side- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_Horto鈥?/a>New to Wikipedia? Can anybody help me learn how to put the information box, on the side with a picture?
Starting out strong, I see! The infoboxes are templates: snippets of code that take in a few parameters and output the nicely-formatted boxes that we're used to.

Templates are called with double curly brackets: if I wanted to use the template at "Template:Foobar"; I'd write {{foobar}}.

More complicated templates take parameters: you might have {{foobar| baz = XYZ}}, and the template will use that input "XYZ" to create its output. You can usually visit the template page to get some documentation on how to use it: namely, which parameters to add, what to use in them.

The article you mention uses "Infobox soap character", and you can see the documentation at %26lt; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:In鈥?/a> %26gt;. For real people, you'll probably want to use the person infobox (%26lt; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:In鈥?/a> %26gt;) or something more specific from that category (%26lt; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Pe鈥?/a> %26gt;). There's a general infobox help page at %26lt; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Infobo鈥?/a> %26gt;.

Uploading and inserting images is a little bit trickier, so I suggest the decent guide at %26lt; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Files %26gt;.

If you want more help, you can contact me on my talk page at %26lt; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:N鈥?/a> %26gt;, or you could also get live (chat) help through IRC at %26lt; http://java.freenode.net//index.php?chan鈥?/a> %26gt;. can someone tell me if this is just a idiotic prank or a true character?Alice in wonderland princess lily?
Yes, there is a character called Lily and she is the White Queen's daughter, making her a princess. Everything else in that article is fake. And she is from Alice Through the Looking-Glass, and What She Found There.

This is for all the hair dressers out there.

My hair is very similar to this picture of Ashley Greene as Alice and i want to style it so that it looks a bit more like hers and so it is kinda spikey-ish instead of just plain straight. I am hopeless when it comes to hair and stuff so simple instructions plz. My hair dresser recommended to put my head upside down and blowdry it like that but my hair just turns really fuzzy and bushy and it looks awful.Ashley Greene/alice Cullen hair?
It really helps if you have a few subtle layers there...which you probably do if your hairdresser says it will work.

When your hair is wet, add mousse, then blow dry.

After you blow dry, use a flat iron/straightener to smooth it out and really straighten those ends. I also like to angle the straightener outward a little and it helps a lot.

I also use a product called "rewind" and they have stuff like it in different brands, but it's a sort of sticky hair balm...hair sculpting cream stuff... Get a tiny bit (it's too gunky if you get too much...start very small) on your finger tip, rub it around on your palms or fingers and pull it into the ends of your hair.

Add aerosol spray, especially to the ends and scult them out.Ashley Greene/alice Cullen hair?
    get a sculpting jell.

    or mouse.

    it will work really well.

However, during that time, Mikan (along with her friends) find out that the academy is really built on both secrets and lies. the website where i found it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gakuen_Alice and for the Bokura Ga Ita the summary is:Nanami Takahashi welcomes the start of her high school life with great expectations of making as many friends as possible. There is much talk among the girls about a popular boy, Motoharu Yano, who has 2/3 of the girls in his middle school liking him. When Nanami asks Yuri Yamamoto, the girl sitting next to her, about Yano, the latter curtly replies that she dislikes him. Nanami is clueless of who Yano is until the day of the class nomination when she made a fool of herself by calling the name of her new friend wrongly. It turns out that she has actually met Yano along the corridors (unaware of his true identity) and he tricked her by providing a random name, resulting in the embarrassing incident in class. Nanami was initially mad at Yano but after a few encounters with him, she begins to find herself liking him.

and the website where i found this is http://myanimelist.net/anime/1222/Bokura_ga_Ita okay?If you guys know the anime Gakuen Alice and bokura Ga Ita which one should i watch?
DO NOT WATCH BOKURA GA ITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    - It was sooo sooo boring... like who the heck wants to know about their complicated love life and how they keep on breaking up and dating again... the plot seemed really pointless to me. (i do like romance anime/mangas, but not like this...)

    DEFO DEFO WATCH GAKUEN ALICE!!!!!!!

    -really cute romance

    -love triangle

    -good characters

    -funny

    -great plot!!!!!!

~From the picture in myanimelist.net, Gakuen Alice might seem a bit childish but it's not.

    MIKANXNATSUME

~you should also read the manga if you have the chance to!

^___^If you guys know the anime Gakuen Alice and bokura Ga Ita which one should i watch?
I have not watched Gakuen Alice, but I have watched Bokura Ga Ita, and if you're in for some drama, sadness, and what not, then you should go for it! It was an angst-filled anime, but also had its happy moments, I liked it and I recommend it.

So lazy its a manga max. number or words on a page 20 (maybe)! The manga is way LONGER and BETTER than the anime!

Why is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland called a Novel?

    It's less than 80,000 words.

http://www.feedbooks.com/book/22/alice-s鈥?/a> says it has 26,432 words, which http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Word_count says would make it a novella. Why is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland called a Novel?
Novel is short for Italian novella historia, "new story". It was also called "romance" because it was mostly used in languages based on Latin. It simply means a story with a happy ending. Why is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland called a Novel?
People aren't educated :) I have Wonderland and the Looking Glass in one book, as they are usually published together to make a bit over a novel in wordcount. Why is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland called a Novel?
Lots of people call all fiction books novels
I guess your right. I didn't know that.

Do you think that the one who wrote "Alice in Wonderland" wrote it from paranormal experiences?

What are your ideas about this? It shows on here where he got some of his ideas...but do you think spirits gave him the rest of his ideas?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice%27s_A…Do you think that the one who wrote "Alice in Wonderland" wrote it from paranormal experiences?
    YAY! Thanks for asking!

Alice and Wonderland is all about drugs. :)

Now from what I hear there is no proof or rumors that Lewis Carrol did drugs ever but if you look at the story, it's all about taking things to alter your perception. Alice is presented with things to eat, things to drink that make her big and small. There's this frantic rabbit that can't stop going, who looks like he's been doing a whole lot of cocaine, the Cheshire cat is smoking a hookah (there could just be tobacco inside but the cat looks pretty high off weed to me) and he told Alice to take a bite of the mushroom he's sitting on and then you got the tea party and the mouse is drunk off his a** and the mad hatter looks like a severe alcoholic...I don't think that was regular tea they were drinking! I don't know what the Queen is on but she's on something that makes her want to paint roses...and cut off people's heads for really silly reasons...maybe she's coming down from a really bad trip lol.

Sorry Deenie, not paranormal but there are enough drug references in this story to make your head spin. :D That's why I wanted you to ask, so I could share that with you, lol. :) I can't wait to see Wushuboy's answer, maybe it will be different. :)

    *edit*

Deenie, lol, I've had my fair share of experiences but I'm a good girl now. ;) I've never partaken in hallucinogens though.

    *edit*

ROFL @ Kool Aid! I wonder how many people are going to get that joke, lol.
Yep, non of you ever read the books....

Do you think that the one who wrote "Alice in Wonderland" wrote it from paranormal experiences?
Have any of you even read the books? Are we all just going off disneys version here, or did any of you actually read Lewis Carroll's novels?

I happened to be lucky enough to get a copy that had a little history behind the books and author. Alice in Wonderland is actually a collection of metaphors used to make fun of the politics of time, yes there are a lot of drug references and there's no doubt he wasn't smoking some funny things but it wasn't about drugs.) but he actually got the idea for the main character and her adventures from his friends daughters, particularly the middle girl, Alice. Apparently him and his friend would take the girls on long boat rides on the rivers they lived next to and would entertain the board girls by telling them funny stories and Lewis decided it would be a good staging ground for his metaphors and puns on society as well as make the young girl happy. He often photograph the girl (more so than her sisters) and she was said to be his favorite. No funny play, he just liked little girls....lol! Sorry dear, no paranormal anything involved..

The second book was by far the best, it literally was a chess game! Alice started as the pawn and ended up winning the game. You should read the book a little more careful if you think it was about drugs! Or turn off the Disney channel......
Deenie,I really feel that this has nothing to do with the paranormal,if anything the person that wrote it either had an extremely good imagination or had taken some sort of hallucinogenic drugs. If they even had them back then.I can tell you though,I went to the Imax theater and saw this film,I thought that it was awesome, what a trip, you put the glasses on and you are right in the middle of this fantasy land,I would go again just for the experience,if you have the opportunity to go see this film with Johnny Depp,go to an Imax, you will really enjoy it!

Tomb RaiderDo you think that the one who wrote "Alice in Wonderland" wrote it from paranormal experiences?
From what I understand, Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) was a competent mathematician, and was likely grounded in reality. The story was inspired by the daughter of a friend of Dodgson's (Alice Pleasance Liddell). There seems to be no paranormal origins for the story.
Naw. Lewis Carroll had just gotten fired from his job for stealing boxes. They called him on his day off to tell him he was fired. His friend, Smokey, came over the next day and said, "I know you don't smoke weed. I? know this, but I'ma get you high today. Cuz its friday, you ain't got no job, and you aint got $h!t to do." The rest is history.

    *edit*

@ Witchy I don't think my thumbs down understands!
yea yea i heard he took shrooms or LSD..some sort of hallucogenic. or was that just the people who did the disney film. anyway i don't think the author of harry potters was any kind of druggie and those are pretty RIDICULOUS..just shows you don't need drugs or even spirits
LOL. My username!!!! Thanks Witchy for explaining everything! :D

Now everyone knows the origins. :P
Eat enough magic mushrooms and you can go to wonderland too.
no he wrote it for a little girl he was obsessed with she was his inspiration for alice hes one sick moe foe
I've heard that the weird points of it was based from mathematics and included a few hidden problems and such.
No, I just think he is a very creative person with a very vivid Imagination.
No, I think it was written from a drug induced experience. No way was he straight when he wrote that...no way!

If Mel won't give you a star I will!!
When I was younger my friend and I thought that Lewis Carol was pot smoker. You know, like the caterpillar.
No, honey, I hear he did copious amounts of Opium....you'd see Rabbits coming in and out of holes, shrinking girls and such as well!
The idea of the rabbit came from a carving in a cathederal. I've seen it but I'm not sure where it was
    Nope Lmao :D

    Edgy kids series "Alice"?

    Y'all heard of this series?

It's about a girl named Alice who has a bf, a dad, her mom died years ago and she learns about the world around her.

In 8th grade, I read this book called Outrageously Alice, where I learned some INTERESTING things: French-kissing, this scene where Alice is at a wedding shower where most gifts include lingerie and there's a sexually-oriented quiz near the end of the shower, and it includes other outrageous things about growing up.

And this series is targeted towards tweens and teens.

I was surprised the book went from 12 and up, when I was younger.

I could see high school kids read it, but

    12 year old tweens? Wow.

    Any opinions?

Alice In Wonderland Syndrome WTF (Has anybody heard about that its on the same wikipedia page as the movie is?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Wonderland_syndrome

This is self explanatory or i you can figure that out IT PROVES THAT THE MAKERS OF ALICE IN WONDERLAND EVEN MADE A SYNDROME DAMN i read hundreds of articles of that movie containg drug stuff but never an sydrom i think i might get a nobiel prize

Eye components are entirely normal. The AIW syndrome is a result of change in perception as opposed to the eyes themselves malfunctioning. The hallmark sign of AIWS is a migraine, and may in part be caused by the symptom itself. Using psychoactive drugs (notably dextromethorphan, LSD, Psilocybin Mushrooms or other hallucinogenic drugs) may also produce micropsia. AIWS affects the sufferer's sense of visual, sensation, touch, hearing as well as one's own body image.

The most prominent and often most disturbing symptom is that of altered body image: the sufferer will find that they are confused as to the size and shape of parts of (or all of) their body.

The eyes themselves are normal, but the sufferer 'sees' objects with the wrong size or shape and/or finds that perspective is incorrect. This can mean that people, cars, buildings, etc. look smaller or larger than they should be, or that distances look incorrect; for example a corridor may appear to be very long, or the ground may appear too close.

In addition, some people may experience more intense and overt hallucinations, seeing things that are not there and misinterpreting events and situations in conjunction with a high fever.Alice In Wonderland Syndrome WTF (Has anybody heard about that its on the same wikipedia page as the movie is?

Yeah, I like him. He was HUGE while I was in high school! lol

What!?! He's not in the R%26amp;RHOF? I'm shocked! He was fairly single-handedly responsible for moving rock and roll out of the hippie dippie '60s and '70s into the harder rocking "arena" shows that were to come. Shocked, I tell ya! Where would rock be today without the theatrics of the Alice Cooper live shows?? The snake, the blood, the decapitation.... Every hard rocker today OWES Alice Cooper.

I don't think he was under-rated as an artist, at least not by his fans or his peers. I saw Alice Cooper (pre-Love It To Death) open for Chad %26amp; Jeremy in 1971 and I've been a fan ever since!

Hey whats your opinion on the name " Alice Pleasance" ? I know its old fashioned....?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_Lidde鈥?/a>Hey whats your opinion on the name " Alice Pleasance" ? I know its old fashioned....?
    Love and adore it.

It's sort of cheesy and classy at the same time, which is a combination I quite like.
cooolHey whats your opinion on the name " Alice Pleasance" ? I know its old fashioned....?
I like Alice. But most definately not Pleasance! That's pretty umm out there. I like old fashioned names too....but not this combo. Kids are cruel these days and I could totally see something come out of this like Alice Pleases Pleasance or Pleasently! Don't do that.
It's really pretty!Hey whats your opinion on the name " Alice Pleasance" ? I know its old fashioned....?
It's nice literary-wise, but in practise, I would suggest something of a similar style, but different, because Pleasance will be embarrassing for her to admit.
Alice in wonderland is a classic book of a fictional character but that doesn't mean a made up characters name should be used for a real person!

I would not use it ,its just too pretentious!

Keep it real and good luck!
I don't care for the name Alice too much, but Pleasance is a pretty change of pace. If you like old-fashioned names, how about Hester? I had a student with that name and came to love it.
    lame
I love the name Alice, it sounds so pretty and old fashioned, and it has lovely connotations with the classic book character.

'Pleasance', i don't personally like names after emotional qualities, they sound a bit 'religious' to me.

If you haven鈥檛 seen the end of the third Resident Evil movie Resident Evil Extinction yet, you might want to avoid these Resident Evil 4 movie spoilers. Io9 had the chance to interview the director of the Resident Evil movies, Paul W.S. Anderson, and asked him about the fourth live-action movie that鈥檚 being planned right now.

Question: Are We Going To See An Army Of Alices?

Answer: We鈥檙e in very early discussions about all of it, so it鈥檚 not a definite thing by any means. Mila would like to return, and I would certainly like to see the franchise continue. Last year there were, I think, eight 鈥榯hreequels鈥?got released. Rush Hour 3, Pirates 3, Spider-Man 3鈥ut there was eight of them. Shrek 3. Six out of the eight, the third movie did worse business than the second movie. There were only two where the third movie did better than the second movie. That was Bourne Ultimatum and Resident Evil. So, you know, it is quite an achievement for a franchise to keep growing like that, and we all feel that the audience is excited to see another one clearly. We would like, if we could put it together, we would do it.

Question: Right, but hypothetically how would you go about using all of those Alices?

Answer: I鈥檓 not going to tell you that. [laughs]鈥?but we would.

    Question: You would?

    Answer: We would, yes. Absolutely.

The new resident evil is going to be a cg movie, there will be no Alice, however they are going to have a Claire Redfield, she is going to voiced by a different person. In Resident Evil: Extinction, however there was an Alice and a Claire Redfield. Alice was played by the usual Milla Jovovich, and Claire was played by Ali Larter, from the Heroes seriesWill alice be in the upcoming Resident Evil:afterlife film?
I'm guessing that Alice will be in the next film, as she is the main character, but I'm hoping that it will be more related to the actual game series, because so far they've pretty much threw the original story out the window. They need more creatures like hunters and they need to make Umbrella more sinister.
I think Alice will be there because like the last one ended she said she is coming for those people to kill them. And also they cant not have her and it will be the same actress, I think. Im not sure about the characters but Alice will be there.

Will Milla Jovovich sign on as Alice in the upcoming Resident evil 4 film ?

If you look on Resident evil Exitinction wiki:Sequal. it says that most characters from RE 5 are coming to be in this film and jill is reeutning it takes elments from Re4 Re5 and umbrella chronicals and filming would be in tornoto maybe? The most prominent and often most disturbing symptom is that of altered body image: the sufferer will find that they are confused as to the size and shape of parts of (or all of) their body.

Yes, it's a form of body dysmorphism.

They look in the mirror and see a fat stomach, though none is there, they "diet" to get rid of the fat they see and cannot get rid. Resulting, in some cases, in anorexia.

  • Is there an anime based off of Alice in Wonderland?

I absolutely adore things that have to do with Alice in Wonderland. I heard that there was an anime that was very closely related to it but I can't find it. Can anyone help me? And please don't say Fushigi no Kuni no Alice or give me a Wiki link to "works based on Alice in Wonderland".

Thanks in advance ;PIs there an anime based off of Alice in Wonderland?
Pandora Hearts is based off of Alice in Wonderland. However, it's not entirely based on it. There are twists to it, but there is still Alice and the ever-messed up Wonderland.

Also, the first chapter of the Godchild series by Kaori Yuki is almost exactly like Alice in Wonderland ( The Lewis Carroll Version, not the Disney )

The Anime Rozen Maiden focuses on a set of magical dolls that fight one another to become "Alice", alleged to be a creature of perfect femininity, purity, and beauty. A white rabbit that guides the dolls through worlds is also featured and the dolls themselves also refer to various characters Alice encounters in the story.

If you like Anime-Related songs about Alice in Wonderland, I suggest you listen to "Alice Human Sacrifice" by Vocaloids. The song is great, and the PV is awesome:

I just watched it last night and I thought it was very good although not up to the same standard as most of Scorsese's other movies that I've seen.

BQ: Favourite movie starring Kris Kristofferson?

BQ2: Have you seen every movie that was directed by your favourite director?

Scorsese is my favourite but I've only seen just over half of his movies.

BQ3: Least favourite movie directed by Scorsese? What's Your Opinion Of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore?
One of my favorites. One of Scorsese's early underrated gems. Ellen Burstyn's performance is up their as one of the best ever I think.

BQ- Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore

BQ2- I've seen everything by Scorsese except his music documentaries

BQ3- Boxcar BerthaWhat's Your Opinion Of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore?
It's been too long since I've seen it... but didn't know it was Scorsese.

BQ: Blade. Also "A Star is Born".

    BQ2: No

BQ3: I actually avoid Scorsese movies. Too realistic. I like my violence stylized... more like Tarantino.

Is Alice Cooper secretly a baleen whale?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_Cooper As you can see in the main picture, rocker Alice Cooper appears to have no distinct top or bottom teeth. The only other place I can think of this occuring in nature is in whales. In light of this interesting fact of dentistry, what are your speculations on the species of Alice Cooper? Is Alice Cooper secretly a baleen whale?
Definitely, I went to grade school with him.

    A Literary What?

    Did you say Nonsense?

If that is Nonsense then what is the Walt Disney version?

Which probably stole the rights to that magnificent book.

    What a shame!

Since when does Disney make PG-13 movies when for at 20 years they have gone without?

Seems a little odd to me.Is there anything wrong with Alice in Wonderland? Take a look here?
Alice in Wonderland is one of the most important books ever written.

The movies have always been in love with Alice. Jim Hanson came the closest to bring Alice to the screen.

The disney version is important as part of Disney history:

    Pinocchio .Snow White, Fantasia, Bambi,,

The thing to remember is that a book is the author's vision,

a movie is the director's vision. Is there anything wrong with Alice in Wonderland? Take a look here?
Literary nonsense in literature is NOT something that most people think - it is in fact a 'genre' in literature.

Literary nonsense refers to a genre of literature, whether poetry or prose, that plays with conventions of language and logic through a careful balance of sense and non-sense elements. Its strict adherence to structure is balanced by semantic chaos and play with logic. Usually formal diction and tone are balanced with an inherent topsy-turvyness and absurdity. The effect of nonsense is often caused by an excess of meaning, rather than a lack of it.

In other words, literary nonsense doesn't mean 'trash' in literature. Lewis Carroll and Edward Lear are both known literary nonsense artists, among others.

    |%26lt;ryptonIs there anything wrong with Alice in Wonderland? Take a look here?
'literary nonsense' doesn't mean the book is no good, it means it is a work that is full of 'nonsense' as in wordplay, nonsensical happenings, crazy people etc. Not that the book is 'nonsense' in the sense of being a bad book.

I personally thought that the Disney version was quite good, it stuck reasonably closely to the original. of course, it couldn't capture the atmosphere of the book, but I think it did pretty well really.
firstly, wikipedia is written by anyone who thinks they know enough on the topic to make sense.

secondly, speaking in a purely literal sense, alice and wonderland is a work of nonsense. the ideas and events are nonsensical and would not logically work in the real world.

and therefore yes, the walt disney version is too alot of nonsense. this however does not detract from its literary importance.

The third version you have found is simply the rough draft of the first book.

There are only two stories featuring Alice. They are the first two you list. How many Alice in Wonderland books are there?
    Technically, one. Alice in Wonderland.

There is a sequel - Through the Looking-Glass - which features Alice.

So there are two Alice books but only one Alice in Wonderland book.
